VEGETABLE EGG (snack)&AWARD


Ingredients
suji rawa-1cup
chana dal(black gram)-1cup
water-1/1/2cup
ginger garlic paste-1tbsp
coriander leave
green chili-2+5for tempering
curry patta-2-3 stems
mustered seeds-1tbsp
oil-2tbsp
salt to taste
Method:
Soak dal for 4-5 hours.Grind with green chili.Add coriander leaves ginger garlic paste and salt.
boil water in a pan and  add suji in it .
make a smooth dough like chapati.cool it
Now make ball and roll  thin  like chapati  on rolling pin. if there is difficulty in rolling roll on plastic sheet.
Take the paste of chana dal and put in between, now roll the chapati from both sides and make tight roll
Seal both corner make all the rolls 3-4 rolls can be made in this quantity
Steamed all the rollers.when dal becomes hard it means it is done.Cool them

Cut into small pieces.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustered seeds.When seeds crackled add curry patta and green chili.Fry for 3-4 minutes .Now add the cut pieces and mix well .Cover it for 2-3 mintutes.It looks like a egg .We can add turmeric powder in dal paste.
Eat with green chutney or sauce.

LACHA PRATHA OF LEFTOVER DAL


This pratha i made of lentil left over dal.u can use any dal and even vegitable.Iam reposting this  recipe bec before there were few members to see
INGREDIENTS:
Leftover dal (lentil): any
Wheat flour: According to dal to make asoft dough
Onion: 1 finely chopped
Green chillies: 2 crushed
Kasuri Methi: 2 tbsp in 1 cup flour
Cooking Oil: to fry
salt to taste

METHOD:

Make a  soft dough by mixing all the ingredients, except oil.
Make small balls and roll on the rolling board (chakla). Smear it with oil and sprinkle dry flour over it. Fold it like a pipe and roll vertically like a spiral to make the ball again. Now flatten it again on the rolling board. Roast it on the pan with good amout of oil.

Serve it hot with curd or coriander/mint chutney or butter.

DRY PEAS CHAT(TIKKI)

As when we shifted from delhi to raebareli we visited many people's house. In most of the housesi was served this dry matter chat .It is tasty and can be used in many ways. Here i make a tikki of matter chat . u all will also enjoyed this chat This recipe i write earlybut i think it best for this event
Ingredients:
white mutter:200gm
coriander powder:1tbsp
Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp
Garam masala: 1/2 tsp
Cooking oil: 4 tbsp
Coriander leaves
Corn flour: 4tbsp
Chat masala tsp
onion: 2medium chopped
Green chillies: 2-3
Method:
Soak mutter for 4-5 hours. Pressure cook it with less water for 6-7 minutes or till tender. When hot, add green chilly; onion, coriander leaves, ginger and all dry masala except chat masala. Let it cool. Now spread cornflour on the plate, make mutter tikki and rollin cornflour so that whole tikki is covered. Add cooking oil in a non-stick and shallow fry tikki on slow fire till crisp. Serve hot with meethi chutney made of tamrind and jaggery, and green chuteny. Sprinkle chat masala and onion before serving.
Variation:
You can also add curd to it.

RED DRINK [WATERMELON JUICE]


I saw yesterday in my fridge1/2 watermelon and pomrgranates.. I remembered Aipi'as beverages event and Akheela's red colour platter. Immediately an idea came to my mind to make drink  so that my fruits are also used and i will send the entries to both events
There is nothing better than a refreshing Watermelon  and pomergrante drink to beat the summer heat. This recipe is easy to prepare  and everyone would love it.

 Ingredients:
watermelon--4cups(PIECES)
.Pomergranate seeds--1/2 cup
minit leaves---7-8
pepper--1tsp
black salt---1/2 tsp



Method:
Cut the small piece of watermelon and keep aside.Scoop rest of watermelon flesh into mixer along with pomergranate seeds,minit leaves pepper and salt.Stain and allow to cool in the fridgeRemove the seeds of the watermellon kept aside and cut into small pieces.Sugar need not be added if want add honey.
Serve the chilled watermelon juice in tall glass along with small pieces of watermelon and minit leave

Mathri &Namkeen

Diwali is over and also the festive mood to make different types sweets and namkeen.There is event in Riya's blog of cracers and straws indian dish.I make my mind to send the entry to this event so i make them Though these snackes can be used anytime in our houses
.
MATHARI
INGREDIENTS
Maida-1cup
suji(rawa)-1/4cup
oil for moin-3tbsp
thyam-1tsp
kasoori methi-1tbsp
oil for fry
salt to taste
METHOD.
Mix all the ingredients and rub it nicely.Use little water and knead a hard dough:.
Keep aside for 1/2 an hour
Now make small balls  and little  flatten on palm.
Fry on slow fire so it is cooked fully and crispy
Eat with achar or chutney


Namkeen(STRAW)
INGREDIENTS:
Maida-1cup
suji(rawa)
oil for moin-3tbsp
thyam-1tsp
salt to taste
oil for fry
METHOD:
Mix all the ingredients nicely.add little water to make hard doughas in mathri.make big ball and roll on the rolling pin and make very thin chapati.cut it into stripes or dimond as u like

Deep fry in oil on slow fire
Eat with hot tea

punjabi rajma

 Ingredients;
rajma-250gm
onion-3mediumfiely chopped
tomatoes-3 puree
ginger-garlic paste-1tbsp
termuric powder-1tsp
red chili-1tsp
coriander powder-1tsp
garam masala-1/2tsp
oil--3tbsp
salt to taste
METHOD
soak rajma for 6-7hours.heat oil in a pressure cooker add chop ed onion.after 5minutes add ginger garlic paste.fry till the onion is brown Add all the masalas except garam masala.Add tomato puree Fry till oil comes out .Now add rajma and pressure cook it for 1/2 an hour.Add garam masala and coriander leaves.
it is ready to eat
The best combination is with rice or chapati ,puree
TIP
In this recipe i do not boil rajm  In this way  masalas mix well in rajma
and taste is different

DELHI CHAT&DIWALI CELEBRATION



Idid  not post any recipe for few days bec of Diwali. I celebrated Diwali with my whole family and their friends with great enthusiasm. On this diwali i prepared Delhi chat including papri dhi bhalla and pani-puri.
Rangoli in my house
DHI-BHALLA
Ingredients:
urd dal-1cup
curd-3cpus
roasted zeera powder-2tsp
red chili powder-1tsp
black salt-1/2 tsp
ginger and coriander leaves-3tsp
tamrid mithi chutney-1/2cup
salt to taste
pinch of hing
oil for fry

METHOD:
Soak dal for 4-5 hours.
Grind with one green chili[optional]
Add ginger green coriander to the paste.
Whisk paste with spoon or hand so it becomes light.If the paste is light dahi bhalla is very soft and tasty.
Heat oil in a kadai
Take 1tbsp of batter in Palm and flatten it.Make whole in between and fry all



Soak in the salted water till soft
Whisk the curd and add the bhalla one by one and arrange in the dish Mix all the masalas and sprinkle on them.eat with mithi chutney.
PAPRI
ingredients:
maida-1cup
rawa[suji]1/4 cup
oil for moian-3tbsp
thyme-1/2 tsp
curd--250gm
potatoes-3-4boiled and cut into small piecies
roasted zeera,red chili powder black salt---1/1/2tsp
salt to taste
oil for fry
Method
Mix all the ingredients except oil for fry and make a hard dough.It is not soft as puries. Keep aside for 1/2 an hour. Now make big ball and roll it very thin.now take  small cutter and cut from whole roll.  Make small cut in each papri.deep fry it in slow fire.

Dip the papri in curd.Add potatoes on the top Sprinkle all the masalas over it
Eat with  mithi chutney


PANI-PURI
For pani
2-3 tbsp MDHpani-puri masala
Coriander leaves and ginger-2tbsp
Tam rid pulp--2-3 tbsp
Method:
Mix all the ingredients in water Add bundi in it [optional
Panipuri bought from market
potatoes-boiled and cut into small pieces.
Eat pani puri and enjoy

MACRONI IN DESHI STYLE&AWARDS


Every body make macaroni and the recipe is almost same with little difference.This recipe i got from my daughter .She makes with with few ingredients desi style. Now i want to share with u all.
Ingredients:
Macaroni-2cups boiled
shim la mirch-1 chopped in thin length
potatoes-1/2 kg boiled
carrot-2 finely chopped
so ya sauce 2tsp
spring onion 125gm
green chilly-2 paste
garlic- 2tsp crushed
garam masala-1/2 tsp
salt to taste

Method:

Heat oil in a pan add garlic and Green chilly.Then add onion shimla mirch and carrot till it tender.Add potato and macaroni into it.Add masala and salt .In the end add soya sauce mix it thoroughly.



Garnished with coriander leaves.yummy macaroni is ready
