Dry Arvi


Due to failure of internet i did not post early . all phones and internet was dead. i feel that without internet our daily work is stopped .we become so used to these services without them feel somthing missing.
This dish i prepared carefully as some time it never comes out perfect.now i saw my daughter used corn flour which make the arvi crispy and not stick to another this is really very useful and now i make it oftenly bec it is easy to make. i make it in two types witout onion only used dry masala with onion ginger garlic.  here i make dry without onion.its taste is good u can try it


Ingredients:
Arabi: 1/2 kg
Cornflour: 2 tbsp
Green chilies: 2-3
Coriander powder: 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
Garam masala: 1/2 tsp
dry mango powder-1/2 tsp
Cooking oil: 4 tbsp
Salt: To taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:
Boil arbi in pressure cooker for only 2 whistles. Peel the skin after it cools down.
Now press arbi one by one in the palm using a cloth.
Coat arbi with cornflour.
Take 2 tbsp oil in non stick flat pan and shallow fry on slow fire till it becomes crisp.
Pour oil in a cooking pan and . Add coriander powder, turmeric powder,  and chilli powder and fry till it leaves oil.
Now add arabi with 1/2 cup water to mix it with masala and add salt. Add dry mango powder.
Add garam masala and mix.
Garnish with coriander and serve with hot chapatis or parathas or naan.


Tips:

1. Mix coriander powder, turmeric powder and chilli powder in a small quantity of water 5 minutes before adding to the pan. This leaves fresh masala taste and does not get burned.

Puffed rice poha




Ingredients
puffed rice-icup
green peas 1/4 cup (boiled)
potato-1 (boiled)
onion-1finey chopped
green chili-1
coriander leaves-
cummin seeds 1/2 tsp
tomato-1 finely chopped
turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
gram masala-1/4 tsp
salt to taste
oil-2tbsp

Method
Wash puffed rice and keep aside.Heat oil in a pan add zeera when splutter add onion . fry for 2-3 minutes Add tomato.chili and fry Add all the masalas with potato and peas

.Mix them well and add puffed rice cover it for 5 minutes. Now it is ready Garnish with coriander leaves.

Eat with sauce or chutney.!!1111

Cake Rusk with black poppy seeds


This secret ingredient i received from Simaran for arusuvai event started by Sayantani.First i could not recognised it bec i see only white poppy seeds.but i asked Simran and she told me . this black poppy seeds are more flavoured and can be used as white poppy seeds. but due to colour it can more used in baking and in salads. so here i used in cake rusk which is also my first attempt but taste is too good.as Simran has wonderful space with delicious and innovative recipes so visit her blog.
Once Sayantani comment on my blog and asked for  participate in this event and i become the part of this event which is a chain to receive   one ingredient from one blogger and to make a recipe by using it.It is really very good event as we see many new ingredients and come closer to many bloggersSayantani is very active and talented organised many events. she has wonderful recipes so u must visit her blog.
Ingredients:
maida-100gm
rawa-2tbsp
butter-50gm
sugar-100gm
poppyseeds-4tbsp
baking powder-1tbsp
eggs-2
vannila essence-1tsp

Method
Sieve flour and baking powder and keep aside.Mix all other ingredients except poppy seeds in a mixer and churn for 2minutes.Add flour baking powder and poppy seeds and mix well.Grease the cake dish and microwave for 6 minutes.


After that take out the cake and put on wire rack and bake on grill+microwave for 2 minutes it will dry it and come out in rusk form.
