Garlicky,dhaniya Brinjal


Ingredients
long brinjal-250gm
garlic-7-8pieces
coriander leaves -1/2 cup
green chilies-2
zeera-1/4 tsp
turmeric powder-1/2tsp
red chili powder-according to taste
garam masala-1/4 tsp
dhaniya powder-1/4 tsp
tomato-1
onion-1
potato-1(optional)
oil2tbsp

Method
wash brinjal and cut into length wise.grind garlic,coriander leaves and green chilies.
Heat oil in a pan add zeera when splutter add onion saute it then add the grinding paste fry for sometimeso that raw smell of garlic disappear.add all the dry masalas except garam masala.mix well.now add tomato and fry till oil leaves sides.add brijal&potato and mix well. add little water and cover it .satire in between till it is done.add garam masala and garnish coriander leaves.
Eat with pratha or roti.......

Cracked Wheat idli with spinach & chana dal




This is healthy different &tasty in eating. this recipe i saw in blogger friend and bookmark it . today i tried and found it is good in taste.u can try it for some time different taste of idli.
ingredients
cracked wheat(thin)-2 cups
spinach-1 bunchtt
chana dal-1/4 d
mustered seeds-1/2 tsp
red chli-1
curry patta-
green chili-2chopped
salt to taste
oil-1tbsp

Method
wash spinach and chopp it.soak chana dal for 3-4 hours.soak cracked wheat for 1/2 an hour
Heat oil in a pan add mustered seeds ,red chili and curry patta. when splutter add spinach and chana dal. saute for few minutes oe when water dry switch off gas.now mix cracked wheat and spinach together. add water to make batter like idli batter.steam idli in idli pot. it is ready. do not take idli immedietly leave it for five minutesand then take out....serve with chutney and frie spinach.
Fried spianch
heat oil in a pan add zeera and salt .now add dry chopped palak it will fry and become crunchy.it is nice to use this palakwith idlies.........

carrot rice .....one pot meal



this recipe is from leftover rice. i used here grated carrot in south Indian style.It is easy and quick to cook.
ingredients
leftover rice-one bowl
carrot -2 grated
curry patta
mustered seeds-1/2 tsp
red chili-1
chana dal-1/2 tsp
green chili-2
lemon juice-2tsp(optional
salt to taste
oil-2tsp
Method
Heat oil in a an add mustared seeds, curry patta ,dal and red chili.fry it for 1 minute.Add carrot and cover it for five minutes so that carrots become soft now add rice and mix well.cover for another 2-3 minutes so that all the aroma of masalas absorb by rice.
Ready to it with raita or as u like.!!!!!!!!!!

Mint / Pudina Idli....Blog Hope Wednesday



this is March blog hope Wednesday started by Radhika.today i am paired with Sreevalli of Ammaji recipe.she has a wonderful blog of delicious dishes. her baking cakes and puddings are very innovative. u must visit her blog.i also want to bake something from her blog but i have idly batter and i saw tiffin recipe on her blog which tempting me so i try this recipe.it is flavoured with minit and tasty in eating.

Ingredients
Idly batter-2cups
minit leaves-1/2 cup finely chopped
onion-1/2 cup chopped
green chili-2
carrot-1 grated (optional)

Method
mix mint,onion and green chili in idly batter.grease idly tray and steam it for 4-5 minutes or till done.
eat with sambhar and coconut chutney.

Peas......two-in-one

In winter peas are the king of veggies .as we used it many ways ,add with other vegetables,make stuffed  pratha or puris but here  i try to use peas chat in papad i make papad smosa so i think now try with this peas chat. it really comes out super  crispy snack in winter. very easy tempting chat of peas chat



Ingredients
green fresh peas=2cups
green chili-1chopped
ginger-1tsp grated
coriander powder-1/2 tsp
zeera-1/4 tsp
amchoor powder 1/4 tsp
oil 2tsp
salt to taste
coriander leaves
namkeen-any type for topping(optioal
Method
heat oil in a pan add zeera  when splutter add dry masala ,ginger green chili and mix well. cover it adding little water.stire in between when it become soft dry all the water and switch off gas.add gram masala garnish with coriander leaves and any namkeen
It is very yummy and light snack and cook in no time.......




Papad  Envelop


Ingredients
peas chat
papad
oil

Method
soak papad in a water for a5seconds.
leave it for 4-5 minutes .it become soft now fill the cooked peas in it u can add onion also.now fold it like envelop and seal its all sides.heat little oil in non-stick pan and shallow fry from both sides.
It is ready to eat .......

Moong dal dahi pakori


on this  holi enjoy this moong dal dahi vada .wish u all happy holi

Ingredients
yellow moong dal-2cups
curd--500gm
roasted zeera--1tsp
red chili----1/2tsp
black salt-1/4 tsp
green chili-2
coriander leaves
ginger -grated 1tsp
salt to taste
oil for fry



Method
soak dal for 3-4hours. grind it without water with green chili.whisk it so its color becomes white. this dahi pakori is as soft as we whisk it.now add ginger and coriander. mix well. heat oil in a pan and fry like pakora in round shape.take water in a bowl add salt in it. add the fried vada in it.when vada is soft squeeze it.whisk curd and add all the dry masalas.at the time of serving take vada in dish spread curd on it sprinkle roasted zeera and red chili garnish coriander leaves. at the top add sweet tamarind chutney.
