Here i give very simple recipe .this recipe i saw in magazine. otherwise to make moong dal halwa is difficult to fry and consume more ghee.
Ingredients
yellow moong dal-1cup
Desi ghee-1/2 cup
sugar-1cup
khoya 50gm
dry fruit-cashew nut-almond raisins
cardamon-2powderd
water 1-1./2 cup
Method
Fry dal in a pan without ghee.do not over fry its color should be maintained.when cool grind it . do not make fine powder.heat ghee in a pan and fry grinded dal .fry till aroma of dal comes out or when ghee separate from dal ,it means dal is done. It will not take much time .Now add water , sugar, caradomn powder and stire it. after one minute add khoya to it when water absorbed add dry fruit already saute in ghee.switch of the gas.cover it for5-6 minutes.
It will not take much time and ready ghatpat.
