punjabi kadi with methi steamed pakora




Ingredients:
basen-1cup
sour butter milk-2cups
zeera-1/2 tsp
mustered seeds-1/2 tsp
coriander seds-1/2 tsp
fengureek seeds-1/4 tsp
hing-1/ tsp
red chili powder 1/4 tsp
turmeric powder-1/4tsp
salt to taste
oil-2tbs
FOR PAKORA:
basen-1 cup
methi leaves-1/2 cup finely chopped
baking soda-pinch of
oil-1tbsp
green chilly-1-2 chopped
salt to taste



Method:
Mix basen,red chili powder,turmeric powder and salt in buttermilk.whisk it so there is not any lump.
Heat oil in a pan and add all whole spices ,hing when cracked add buttermilk batter into it .
When boil slow the fire and boil it for 45or 50 minutes.
PAKORA;
Mix all the ingredients of pakora in basen.
Add little water and knead it hard dough like we make for gatta. make small balls.
After 30 minutes add basen balls into kadi.boil for 15 minutes or the balls fullydone.we can test the balls inserting any stick to it and it comes out plain..
Now the kadi is ready to eat garnish with coriander leaves
EAT WITH RICE OR CHAPATI

  19. great recipe! Can i give you my tip for what I do to avoid the steam from coming on the camera lenses thus blurring the picture? Don't click it from straight above. Always do it from a 45-degree angle from below. And look where the steam is going & place your camera to the opposite side.
    (I just thought it would help)
