KARUPATTI APPAM/PALM SUGAR APPAM& AWARD



This is another month of doing SNC challenge started by Divya of you too can cook.iI appreciate the idea of follow the each others recipes otherwise in northindian kitchen we cook only dosa,idli upma and utppamBy this challenge we came know the authentic and traditional dishes of south and vice versa.I am hats off to Divya.for the brilliant idea . This month challenge is given by Shama of  easy2cook recipes   In north we make mal-pua like this but using maida instead of rice.
I visited her blog many times. She has a wonderful space with different recipes and traditional dishes. You all must visit her blog. i am thankful to Shama    sharing this recipe.southindian get the challenge fromHatel khandivi 
HI friends i also want to share with you all the award THE QUEEN OF SNC which i received for the month of FEB as i posted my dish before the result declared..I feel proud that Divya selecting me for this honour


                                        

THIS MONTH WE FEEL PROUD THAT NORTHINDIAN GROUP WON
INGREDIENTS
boiled rice--1 cup
raw rice--1 cup
urd dal-handful
jaggery--250gm
fennel seeds--1tsp(OPTIONAL)
gheefor fry
Method
Soak the riceand dal  for 2 hours soak jaggery so it melt in the water




 Grind rice to smooth paste



make thick syrup when cool remove the impurities by stainer


Mix jaggery and rice. i used fennel seeds and mix in the batter.



Heat non stick kadai and apply little ghee now pure the 2tbsp batter and hold the handle of the kadai and spread it all over make thin dosa.Cover it and cook on slow fire  roast both the side .it will not take more than 4-5 minutes



Yummy karupatti appam/palm sugar appam is ready to eat
