tomato rice and tips




Tomato
Ingredients:
Rice (basmati)- 1 cup boiled.
Tomato - 2, blanched and pureed
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 medium chopped
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt - To taste
                                                        blanched tomato

Method:

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it. When it crackles, add onion and fry till transparent. Add tomato puree and fry till it leaves oil. Add boiled rice and salt and mix well. Cover it for 2 - 3 minutes.


Tips for preserving the tomatoes
It is all know that we make a puree of tomatoes and preserved it for year
1-Method:
boil the tomatoes. When cool puree it in the mixer.Again put on fire when it becomes thick add sodium- benzoide[ratio 1kg tomato--1tspsodium-banzoide]
Take off from fire add acetic acid to the puree.
Fill puree in bottles and seal them.
It can  be used  at any time for long period
2Method:
When tomatoes are cheap than take it cut them in four pieces.Dry in the sun Make powder of dried tomatoes and pack them in airtight bottles.It can also kept for six months.Put the bottles in the fridge if u want for more time.
