As dosa is tried by every one and in south India prepared oftenly in every house.as north Indian it is a special dish for us . here i use some different ingredients which i saw in Femina magazine. from that day i used them and my dosa is really liked by who eat it and i hope u will also try it and see the difference.
Ingredients:
boiled rice-2cup
normal rice-1cup
1urd dal -1cup
chana dal-2tbsp
puffed rice-1/2 cup
rawa-2tbsp
salt to taste
oil for frying
Method
Soak rice and dals with puffed rice separately for 6-7 hours.Grind rice some coarsely.Grind dals and puffed rice smoothly.Mix them well and add salt to the batter.Keep overnight or 6-8 hours for fermentation.When we want to make dosa add rawa before one hour.
Heat nonstick tawa(gridle)and make dosa with masala of alloo or as u required.
Eat with sambhar and chutney.
Alloo Masala Method
potatoes 250gm boiled and mashed
onion-2cut lenthwise
mustared seeds-1/2 tsp
curry patta-6-8
tomatoes 2medium chopped
sambhar powder-1tsp
salt to taste
oil for tempring
coriander leaves
cashewnut-8fried
Methed:
Heat oil in a pan .Add mustared seeds and curry patta.when cracled add onion and fry for 2-3minutes.Add tomatoes and saute for 2 minutes.Add salt cashewnut and powder.Mix alland cover it till some aroma come out.Garnish with coriander leaves.sending to Aipi's and
Mouth watering...... Yes we prepare dosas in this way only... Puffed rice adds to the softness while rawa adds the desired crispiness.... With the nice photography and aloo masala feels to have the dosa now itself...
