Apple Pie

Rakhi means bonding over long standing rituals and traditions. It also represents the everlasting love and respect which is the basis of relationships in India. Although Rakhi signifies the bond between a brother and a sister but it is also a symbol of warmth and compassion shared between communities as a whole.
I dedicate this recipe to this auspecious occasion of Rakhi.

Apple Pie

Ingredients:
Apple - 2
Breadcrums - 6 fresh bread pieces
Sugar - 4 tbsp
Butter - 3 tbsp
Milk - 2 tbsp
Honey - 4 tbsp

Method:

Peel and cut apples into small pieces. Pour honey on it and mix well.

Apple coated with honey

To prepare breadcrums, grind fresh bread pieces in a mixie. Mix butter and sugar to breadcrums. Rub the mixture with hands so all things get mixed properly.

Breadcums, sugar, butter mixture
Lay half of this mixture in a dish and place cut apple pieces on it like this:

Now pour rest of the mixture on this arrangement and sprinkle milk on it.

Keep the dish in microwave oven set in grill mode and bake for 10 minutes or till top becomes brown/caremelized. Set aside for cooling.

Its crispy on top and soft inside.... Yummy... Delicious....

Happy Raksha-bandhan
