LACHA PRATHA OF LEFTOVER DAL


This pratha i made of lentil left over dal.u can use any dal and even vegitable.Iam reposting this  recipe bec before there were few members to see
INGREDIENTS:
Leftover dal (lentil): any
Wheat flour: According to dal to make asoft dough
Onion: 1 finely chopped
Green chillies: 2 crushed
Kasuri Methi: 2 tbsp in 1 cup flour
Cooking Oil: to fry
salt to taste

METHOD:

Make a  soft dough by mixing all the ingredients, except oil.
Make small balls and roll on the rolling board (chakla). Smear it with oil and sprinkle dry flour over it. Fold it like a pipe and roll vertically like a spiral to make the ball again. Now flatten it again on the rolling board. Roast it on the pan with good amout of oil.

Serve it hot with curd or coriander/mint chutney or butter.

Raddish Pratha


Ingredients:

Raddish-2grated
Wheat flour-3cups
Leaves of raddish-chopped finely
green chilly-2crushed
Thym (Ajwain)-1tsp
Garam masala-1tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

Method:

Make a smooth dough of wheat flour. Squeeze out water from raddish. Mix all the ingredients to make the filling.



Make small balls of dough. Now roll one ball and keep it aside. Roll other ball on the rolling board and spread the mixture of raddish on it.


Cover this with other roti which we already rolled and fix the ends using soft hand.


Now roll it again a little and fry on tava[griddle] applying oil on both sides. Fry on slow fire to make it crispy.


Server with curd or butter or coriander chutney or pickle.

Paneer Kachori





Ingredients:

MAIDA-100GM
CORN FLOUR - 1 TBSP
PANEER-100 gm, MASHED
GREEN CHILLY-1
MINT LEAVES-2TBSP
KASOORI METHI-2TBSP
CARROT -1, FINELY CHOPPED
GINGER- 1 TBSP
SALT TO TASTE
COOKING OIL FOR  FRYING

Method:

Take 1 tsp of oil and fry mint leaves ginger, green chillies for 5 minutes and grind them coarsly once it cools down.



Mix all the ingredients in flour with 2 tbsp oil and knead it as a hard dough.


Make small balls and roll on the rolling board.



Heat oil in the pan and fry paneer kachori.



It can be eaten as it is without any side dish. The best match is aloo ki sabji or any pickle.

Besan&Methi[fenugreek] Leaves Paratha




















Fenugreek leaves are enriched with minerals like Potassium, Calcium, and Iron. One hundred grams of fenugreek leaves comprise only 49 calories. The leaves have good dietary fiber and are enriched with Vitamin C. The Vitamin K from fenugreek greens are comparable to spinach.




































Methi Leaves Plant . Grow your own. It is easily grown in a pot. It is organic and free from pesticides.













Ingredients:






Gram flour - 2cups






Wheat flour - 1 cups






Methi leaves - 1bunch






Green chilly - 1[optional]






Garlic- 2-3 pods






Salt to taste






Onion -1 small






METHOD:






Grind methi leaves,onion, green chilly and garlic coarsely. Mix all the ingredients in both flours and make soft dough. Make balls and roll on the rolling board. Smear oil/ghee and make any shape with layers. Shallow fry on a flat pan.When it is done, put some butter on the pratha. It is ready to eat .






Serve with curd, butter or chutny.






Kids will definitely relish it.

























Gram flour has the cleasning properties. Mix with curd and apply on the face, works as a bleach also.

































  • TIP FOR COLD:






Fry 2 tbsp gram flour in 1 tbsp of pure ghee .When fried, add 1 glass milk and sugar and boil it. Consume hot before sleeping. It will give relief from cold. I have tried it myself and it is very effective. Also, it is very yummy too. Kids will enjoy this....
