SWEET&KHARA PONGAL

Though i am north Indian and we celebrate LOHORI but here i make sweet&khara pongal Itried it with the help of recipes saw on the blogs of my bloggers friend.Sweet pongal i saw on Kurunji's blog and khara pongal on internet.pL Try it or tell me how much i am successful in cooking

Ingredients
puffed rice-1cup
jaggery
1/2 cup
cashewnut-7
 raisins-10-15
 coconut powder-2tbsp
deshi ghee-2tsp
Method:
Wsh rice and setaside.Mixjaggery with water and leave it fo 5-6 minutes till melt.Heatone cup water in pan.Add rice and boil it for five minutes,if puffedrice are hard then pressurcook for 2 whistle.Add jaggery after sieve it.boil for 5minutes adding  ghee and coconut powder..In the last add fried cashnewnut and raisins.
Yummy sweet pongal is ready to eat
It is easy and quick to make recipe and taste is delicious.
RAWA KHARA PONGAL
Ingredients
Rawa-1cup
moongyellow dal-1/2-cup/
curry patta-6-8
mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
comminseeds-1/2 tsp
blackpepper (whole)-1/2 tsp
ginger -1sp grated
green chili-2
cshewnut-6-7 fried
oil3tbsp
salt to taste

Method
Fry Dal on medium heat for 23-4 minutes do not brown it.Pressure cook Fry rawa without oil and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds ,cummin seeds ns black pepper.Add currypatta an fry for 1-2 minutes add green chili and ginger fry again for 2 minutes Now add2 1/2 cup water and boil it.Add rawa and dal mix well and cover it stir in between and cook like upma.
Eat with coconut chutney.

  20. Perfect.. you have prepared it the authentic way, except for ven (kara)pongal, we dont crackle mustard seeds. Cumin itself is enough..the texture of pongal is so inviting.. My family is a big fan of ven(white)pongal.. we have it every week as breakfast..
